  1. Student Media Producer

You will work closely with instructors from the Institute for Engineering Leadership to produce a series of short videos in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership.

  1. Using resources provided by instructors, write out a script for a series of 5 min videos that will sync with presentation slides.
  2. Propose graphics, tablet drawings, whiteboard illustrations etc that would create engaging videos.
  3. Propose linkage to discussion forum for greater interactivity.
  4. Set up system/place for recording
  5. Undertake post-production editing and distribution.

Skills needed – excellent written and verbal English language skills, experience in video design and production, knowledge and skills in Camtasia and/or TechSmith Relay.

Knowledge of NUS resources and facilities for video production.

Please provide examples of past projects in your submission.

Open to undergraduates and graduate students.

Project starts immediately but can be timed and scaled to meet your availability. You may also wish to work jointly with others as a production team to cover the skillsets required.

 

      2. Student Assistant (Content Development)

You will work closely with instructors from the Institute for Engineering Leadership to prepare projects and content for a tech to market experiential module.

  1. Assist in the development of technology projects for the IEL TechLaunch module include
  2. Co-ordinate meetings with researchers and academics to detail project statements for use in the coming module
  3. Assist instructor in conducting research in the identified fields of the proposed project
  4. Undertake desktop research on areas of technology commercialisation, entrepreneurship and innovation to be identified by the instructor to update content for teaching materials and to provide a review of the latest developments (both pedagogical and field developments) relevant to the module.
  5. Support the TechVenture Lab – a workshop for PIs – as a pipeline for projects to TechLaunch

Skills needed – Secondary research skills in technical areas such as, but not limited to Engineering or Science. The individual should also have the ability to collate and summarize research findings in a presentable format as well as be good with time management. Interpersonal and skills will also be necessary, since he/she will often be acting as a liaison between lecturers and external parties such as companies, organizations and adjunct staff. Ability to multitask is a base expectation for this role.
